Co-founder & Foodalist at CHEF'S TRAVEL
Amélie is responsible for our liaison with chefs and restaurants, and for hosting our CHEF’S TRAVEL experiences.
As a renowned food writer, event curator, hospitality consultant, TV host, and author of best-seller foodie Bible "150 Restaurants You Need To Visit Before You Die", Amélie is a well-respected figure in the food world. She’s the Official Tastehunter for the prestigious World’s 50 Best Restaurants, in charge of scouting the most innovative chefs and restaurants worldwide. You can follow her adventures with star chefs and fellow food experts on Instagram.
Amélie was born in Brussels and has a blend of Belgian and Vietnamese roots. She grew up traveling the world with her parents, who were also driven by the curiosity to try local food—always picking something on the menu they’d never tried before as well as hunting for worldwide Michelin stars restaurants. Before fully focusing on food, Amélie obtained a master’s degree in Intellectual Property and Business Law at University Panthéon-Assas in Paris, worked as a lawyer in New York, Paris and Brussels, and lived in Asia.
